Professional Development Options

MathFactLab offers a number of professional development approaches as well as resources for answering your questions:

  1. The MathFactLab DIY Professional Development Training Guide includes a series of short videos created by Mike Kenny, the founder of MathFactLab. Each of the eight topics covered in this guide also includes links to related documents for further reading if you wish to delve deeper into any topic.
  2. Free online training is available for individuals or groups of educators. You can arrange for a training by filling out the messaging form or using the scheduling tool on our Contact Us page.

  1. The 'Tours' option, found in the bottom left corner when on the Students tab, offers a step-by-step explanation of five important topics, including the 'Teacher Dashboard at a Glance' and 'After the Placement Test: Looking at Data.'

  1. The Resources menu, located in the top-left corner of the teacher and administrator dashboard, provides quick access to help documents, videos, and other useful materials. Inside, you’ll find a link to our full help document library, tips for supporting student success in MathFactLab, our contact email, and direct links to answers for our most frequently asked questions.

  1. Teachers and administrators can find the answers to many questions by using the 'Instant Answers' button in the bottom right corner of the teacher and administrator dashboard.

In the Instant Answers pop-up window, you have three ways to get help:

  • Use the AI Answers tab to ask our AI Assistant to search our knowledge base and find solutions to your questions.
  • You can browse the knowledge base yourself to locate the information you need.
  • Contact the MathFactLab team directly for a personalized response - typically within a few hours.
