How to Get the Out-of-Pocket Discount for Teacher Plan Accounts

Teachers who are self-funding their MathFactLab subscription (not seeking reimbursement from their school) are eligible for a 60% out-of-pocket discount. Follow the steps below to create your account and apply the discount during checkout.

Step 1: Create your teacher account

Go to MathFactLab's sign-up page (https://app.mathfactlab.com/signup) and select Teacher. Sign up with Google, or fill in your name, email, and password, agree to the Terms of Service, and click Sign Up.

Step 2: Verify your email

Check your inbox for the "MathFactLab | Verify your account" email and click Verify Email.

Step 3: Confirm verification and log in

Once your email is verified, you'll see a confirmation screen. Click Back to login, then sign in with your email and password on the Educators tab.

Step 4: Select your license count

On the Teacher Plan page, set the Number of Licenses Required (the plan includes 50 student licenses by default; additional licenses incur an extra fee).

Step 5: Apply the self-funded discount

Check the box labeled "I confirm that I am eligible for the 60% out-of-pocket discount, as this purchase is self-funded and will not be submitted for reimbursement." Leave the tax exemption box unchecked, since it applies only to school credit card purchases. Click Subscribe Now.

Step 6: Review your order summary

The checkout window will open showing the discount already applied — for example, a $125.00 subtotal with a -$75.00 SELFFUNDED discount, bringing the total due today to $53.50 (before tax).

Step 7: Enter your billing details

Confirm your email, select your Country, and enter your ZIP/Postcode. Click Continue.

Step 8: Complete payment

Once your ZIP code is entered, tax is calculated and the total updates (e.g., to $50.00 due today). Choose PayPal, Google Pay, or enter your card details, then click Subscribe Now to complete your purchase.

If you do not want your account to auto-renew when it expires, follow the steps in this guide.
