Uploading Your Class List from Google Classroom

Please note the following before continuing:

  • MathFactLab does not yet offer Google Single Sign-On for students (this is coming soon).
  • The 'Uploading your class from Google Classroom' is essentially a copy-and-paste feature. MathFactLab gets the list of students in your Google Classroom(s) and pastes them into a MathFactLab class with the same name.
  • If, for whatever reason, this feature does not work for you, know that our 'Add Multiple Students' feature is almost as quick.
  • To be able to upload your class roster from Google Classroom, you will first have to create your MathFactLab account by signing up with Google.

If you are not a new user, click here to learn how to upload class(es) from Google Classroom.

Uploading Class List(s) from Google Classroom for New Users

When you first log in to MathFactLab as a teacher, a welcom popup will appear. On the welcome popup, you will see a button labeled 'Upload class list from Classroom'. Click this to upload your class list(s) from Google Classroom.

If you have multiple Google email accounts, you will then be asked to select one. You will want to use the one associated with your Google Classroom account.

You will then be asked to give MathFactLab permission to access your Google account. Granting this will be necessary to upload your class via Classroom.

MathFactLab will then sync with Google Classroom and show you a list of the available classes. \Each one that you select will create a class in MathFactLab. Select 'Sync' when ready.

Note: Be careful if you have the same students in multiple selected Google Classrooms, as this will create duplicated accounts for these students in your MathFactLab account.

You will then see the class name listed on the Classes tab of your teacher dashboard. Selecting the Students tab shows you the list of student accounts that were created.
