Have Students Leveled Up Recently?
Students advance to the next level by completing the required learning activities at their current level and then passing a Level Lifter assessment. At this time, MathFactLab does not notify teachers when a student passes a Level Lifter and moves up a level. However, there is an easy way to check if any of your students have recently advanced.
To check if students have leveled up recently:
- Begin on the Informative or Performance view of the Students tab.
- Select the students you wish to check on. Use the Filter tool if you want to only check on the students in one class.
- Click on the Stats button.
- Use the Group view in the Stats window
- Select the Learning Mode you want to check on.
- Choose a recent time range, such as the last 7 days.
- Re-sort by Growth using the sort arrows at the top of the column. You might have to click the sort arrows twice to show those who have leveled up.
The growth column shows the number of levels the student climbed during the selected date range.
Any student who shows positive growth over the chosen period will have leveled up at least once.
Color coding to identify students who may need support - If a student's name is highlighted in yellow or red, it indicates that the student has not passed a level within the specified number of days. This feature will alert teachers when students may require some level of support. Clicking on a student's name in the Group report will bring up a pop-up window with information about their current status and a link to a help document for issues the student may be having. See this document for more information about the color-coding of student names to indicate possible progress issues.
