Student Levels

In MathFactLab, whether students are working on addition/subtraction or multiplication/division, they progress through a series of levels.  For addition/subtraction, Levels go from Level A (+1) to Level R (sums of 2-digit numbers).  In multiplication/division, levels proceed from Level A (x2) to Level Z (x17).  In both learning modes, there is no Level I as it could be interpreted as Level 1.

On the teacher dashboard, by going to the 'Students' tab, teachers can easily see both current and historical levels for their students in each learning mode.  In the screenshot below, you can see the levels for three fictional students for both learning modes:

The green highlight tells us each student's current mode. So, in this case, the first student is currently working on Level G in multiplication/division.  The second and third student are both working on addition/subtraction, the first on Level O and the second on Level L.

In the levels listed below the calendar column headers provide historical data.  In the above screenshot, the calendar is set on 'Initial', meaning the level that the student was placed in after taking the placement test.  We can see that in addition/subtraction the first student was placed in Level E and has progressed to Level H.  In multiplication/division, this student was placed in Level A initially and has progressed to Levle G.

By hovering over the calendar, you can set it to show historical data from yesterday, one week ago, 2 weeks ago, 1 month ago, or to a custom date.  See the screenshot below.

If you want to better familiarize yourself with the levels or know what's covered at a specific level, the easiest way to do that is to click the 'Actions' button in the top right of the student dashboard and select 'View progress table'.  This will allow you to scroll through the levels of either progress table.

Below are screenshots of each progress table.
