End-of-Year Guidance for Schools and Districts Using Clever

As the school year comes to a close, here are a few important reminders and suggestions for schools and districts using Clever:

Pause Syncing - This year Clever will automatically pause syncs on May 30 and remove pauses between July 28 and August 1 unless a district schedules their own sync pause. To set up your own sync pausing schedule refer to this Clever document, For Clever Admins: Pausing the sync with your SIS. Many districts choose to pause syncing at the end of the school year, since changes to staff and student data may continue in the SIS through the final days of school.

Student Data Retention - Student data will carry over from the 2024-25 school year to the new school year. Archiving students isn’t necessary. While MathFactLab retains data about student progress from year to year, we recommend teachers start the year by having their students retake the MathFactLab placement test so they will begin the new school year at the most appropriate level in our program.

End of Year Reports - Teachers or administrators who want a record of student progress over the course of the 2024-25 school year can run individual and/or group reports. This document explains how to create reports using our Report Generator.

Summer Use - MathFactLab licenses expire on June 30 and students can continue to use the program until that date. If your school or district renews their subscription for the 2025–26 school year, students can continue to access MathFactLab through the summer, provided they can access your Clever portal. Alternatively, teachers may generate login cards for students to use at home. Instructions for creating these cards can be found here: How to Generate Login Cards.

If students attending Summer School require additional rostering and you are pausing your syncing during those weeks Clever offers a rostering option called Custom Sections that lets you create rostered groups for summer school while you are pausing your syncing.
