Changing a Student's Level

While MathFactLab places students within the program based on their assessment results, if you wish to change a student's level, it is very easy to do so. Just do the following:

  1. Select the Students tabs
  2. Click the edit icon on the line of the student whose level you wish to change.  You'll find this in the 'Actions' column.
  3. You will then see the student edit screen.  If the student has worked in both learning modes, you will see that you can edit either of these.  If the student has only worked in one, you will just see one option for editing levels.

4. Just click the dropdown for the learning mode you wish to edit and select the student's new level.  Make sure to hit save.

If you think that maybe a student is ready to move up a level, you can always unlock the Level Lifter for the student or give the student a Level Lifter Interview.  (Click the three dots on the student's row to find these options.) That way, you can be more confident about moving the student up.
